Ladies, let me keep it real—I've been walking a lot this summer. I am on a quest to complete 2025 miles this year. The fresh air, the rhythm, the peace? It’s been my therapy in this complicated life. But there’s one promise I haven’t kept… getting back to my strength training.
Every week I say, “I’ll start tomorrow.” And tomorrow keeps moving. My goal was to do at least 10 sets per week on all the body parts. I never made the time, and I am noticing the difference, and here’s what I’m learning—every time we break a small promise to ourselves, we chip away at our own confidence.
It’s not about guilt—it’s about grace and truth. The same discipline that gets me out walking can also help me pick up those weights again. Because keeping my word to myself is how I build the kind of confidence that sticks.
So this November, I’m recommitting—not to perfection, but to integrity. I’m keeping my word. I’m showing up for me.
And ladies, if you’ve fallen off your plan too, don’t beat yourself up. Just take one small step back toward your goals today. You don’t have to do it all, just start again. You’re worth keeping promises to.
