Sister to Sister: Healthier for the Holidays and Beyond

Sis, the holidays are here — and you know the vibes.

Good food, good people, a little chaos, a little sparkle… and yes, probably a few too many sweets. And somewhere in all that fun, our bodies start nudging us like, “Hey girl… remember me?”

And honestly? They’re right.

This season doesn’t need to be about dieting or stressing yourself out. It’s really about being intentional.

A little movement helps us stay steady when things get busy. A stretch in the morning, a deep breath before the day gets rolling, or a quick walk to reset your mood — it all counts. Strength work keeps our bodies strong, but so does dancing in the kitchen while you cook. Don’t let anybody tell you that it doesn’t matter.

When we mix movement with real rest, mindful eating, and actually staying hydrated (yes… that water-before-wine rule is still clutch), something shifts. We don’t just make it through the holidays — we feel good through them.

As the year winds down, remind yourself that these moments aren’t just about today. You’re creating energy for your travels, your goals, your joy, your freedom. This is about setting yourself up to live fully — not just get by.

Takeaway:

Before the year wraps up, choose one small daily ritual that takes care of you. A stretch, a walk, a little extra water… something simple that reminds your body, “Sis, I’ve got you.”

Your future self is already smiling.

In the Meantime:

It’s been a real privilege to write for Sister to Sister, and I’m happy to share a little holiday magic — the kind that starts from the inside out. The kind that reminds you that your health is your glow, your peace, and your power. This season, we’re not just surviving the holidays… we’re showing up nourished, grounded, and feeling good in our own skin. That’s the real magic, and I’m honored to walk this path with you.

Always,
